Where are we?
Where the Orange Blossom Coast, also known as the
Levant, meets the olive and almond growing foothills
that climb the awe-inspiring mountains of the
Maestrazgo.
Maes•traz•go means: Fief of the Maestro (Master).
Where Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans and, unique to
Spain, Arabs left their heritage. Where, a thousand
years ago, from their seat in San Mateo, the Knights
of Montesa built castles to fortify the isolated mountaintop villages of the Maestrazgo
Now it’s your turn. Come...
let’s go master the Maestrazgo. |
